Community benefit fund

The department administers the Community Benefit Fund, which offers community funding support from a levy on electronic gaming machines in licensed hotels.

A number of streams are available.

• Community Benefit Fund: gambling amelioration grants
  Funding to support the promotion of community awareness and education in respect of problem gambling.
• Community Benefit Fund: gambling research grants
  Supports research activities directed at problem gambling and the economic impact of gambling activities and associated issues.
• Community Benefit Fund: major community events grants
  Provides funding to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities to Territorians.
• Community Benefit Fund: major community grants
  Provides funding to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities to Territorians.
• Community Benefit Fund: minor community grants
  Aims to improve the capacity of not-for-profit organisations to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities to Territorians.
• Community Benefit Fund: vehicle gifts
  Supports eligible organisations to purchase surplus ex-government vehicles.
