Darwin has welcomed hundreds of international travel agents this week for G'day Australia, Tourism Australia's flagship travel trade event in the Top End.

More than 500 delegates are attending the event, including around 300 qualified Aussie Specialist travel agents from 17 international markets and more than 130 Australian tourism businesses.

The event is providing a major opportunity for Territory tourism operators to showcase their products and experiences to travel professionals who sell Australian holidays around the world.

Tourism and Events NT CEO Suzana Bishop said the event would deliver benefits across the Territory visitor economy.

'With NT 26 sellers showcasing their products and more than 130 Territory businesses providing services and experiences to the event, G'day Australia is creating opportunities right across our visitor economy, from accommodation and dining to transport, retail and tours', Mrs Bishop said.

Many of the visiting agents are experiencing the Northern Territory and Australia for the first time through familiarisation programs across the Top End and Red Centre, helping build their knowledge and confidence to promote the Territory to international travellers.

During their visit, agents are meeting directly with tourism operators, attending networking events and taking part in on-ground experiences designed to showcase the Territory's unique attractions.

G'day Australia 2026 is being delivered by Tourism Australia in partnership with Tourism and Events NT and official airline partner Singapore Airlines.
