Cease of emergency power – takeaway liquor

Dear Licensees,

Following further consultation with NT Police I have determined to not extend the emergency condition for licensees of takeaway liquor outlets.

The current emergency condition ends at close of business today, 15 February 2022, and will not be extended.

From the commencement of trade on Wednesday 16 February 2022 affected licenses will no longer be required to be satisfied that customers have a legitimate residence at which to consume takeaway alcohol.
