Wagering Commission members and meeting dates
NT Wagering Commission members are selected for their knowledge and experience of the wagering industry in the Territory and are appointed by the minister.
The chair, deputy chair and at least one other member must be a lawyer.
Members
The commission consists of 6 members.
Chair, Alastair Shields
Alastair is a qualified lawyer and accountant with more than 35 years public sector experience including as a regulator, commercial lawyer and chief executive officer. He is an experienced chair, holds a Masters of Public Administration and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Deputy Chair, Cindy Bravos
Cindy is an experienced executive leader and qualified lawyer, specialising in compliance, regulation and public administration. With experience on international and national committees, she brings extensive expertise in governance, investigations, and the oversight of complex enforcement and compliance programs.
Commissioner, Susan Kirkman
Susan has extensive executive leadership experience in strategic policy and financial management in the public and private sectors in the Territory and United Kingdom. She holds qualifications in accounting and risk management and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of Certified Practising Accountants.
Commissioner, Ian Curnow
Ian has extensive public sector executive leadership and has served on national and jurisdictional boards and committees. He brings strong expertise in governance, strategic policy, planning, risk management and statutory decision-making, with a solid background in regulatory and licensing frameworks.
Commissioner, Scott Perrin
Scott is a lawyer with a background in securities and finance and has held senior executive roles in global businesses. He was the inaugural chief executive of Racing.com and has long been involved in the thoroughbred racing industry as both a breeder and owner. Scott brings extensive knowledge of and experience in the wagering industry.
Meeting dates
The commission meets regularly throughout the year to make decisions on regulatory matters.
It may also meet outside regular meetings to consider complaints and other urgent issues.

Subcommittees
The commission may establish subcommittees when needed to support specific areas of its work.
The Finance Subcommittee supports the commission by overseeing important financial management and governance matters.
It reviews licence holder's financial statements and audit findings, monitors compliance with legal and reporting obligations, and provides advice on financial risks and reporting issues affecting wagering operators.
